Made with guava from the Basque Country, the Jinkoa is our latest creation. "Jinkoa" means Divine in Basque.
For the record, around thirty years ago, many producers had planted Feijoa in the Basque Country. Today there are 3 producers left in St Pée sur Nivelle, and they are the ones who had the idea for this drink. It is therefore in close collaboration with them that this liqueur was born.
A very powerful but little-known fruit, the feijoa, “feijoa sellowiana”, is a fruit tree of the Myrtaceae family, native to South America (Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay). Introduced in France in the 20th century by Edmond André, it is also called guava tree from Brazil or guava tree from Montevideo.
The fruit is an exotic berry, in the shape of a small avocado, 2 to 8 cm long, which is harvested at the end of autumn when the fruit begins to turn yellow. The feijoa is covered with a thin green skin and has a slightly grainy flesh, of a green-yellow color.
Sweet and syrupy, the guava liqueur is round in the mouth with a very fruity and perfumed first attack.
This result is obtained after 3 months of maceration allowing the fruit to release all the power of its aromas.
Our liqueur is free from preservatives and artificial colorings, its appearance and flavors are guaranteed 100% natural. Bottling, corking and labeling are also done by hand.

Very fruity and fragrant, Jinkoa is appreciated with a simple ice cube but also in a long drink with a tonic.
